Review saved embed hosts without loading their content. WP Embed Source Review gives administrators a focused list of hosts referenced by saved core/embed blocks and iframe sources in WordPress posts and pages.

Find sources worth a closer look. Open Tools > Embed Source Review, review five items per batch and filter by an exact host. Each row shows the host, saved source type and occurrence count. Source edit links respect the administrator's permission to edit each post or page.

Keep URL details out of the report. Full URLs, paths, queries, credentials and content excerpts are not shown or stored. The scanner never loads embeds, fetches URLs, executes shortcodes or changes content. Freemius handles licensing separately.

Saved sources are a starting point. These observations do not establish live network connections, cookie behavior or compliance. Block and iframe counts are separate observations, not unique rendered embeds. Dynamic scripts, shortcodes, bare URL auto-embeds, templates, widgets, custom post types and referenced pattern contents are outside scope.

Know the limits before deciding. Each item is bounded to 200 KB, 500 block nodes, depth 32, 1,000 HTML tags and 100 source matches. Invalid, missing, relative, credential-bearing, IPv6 and non-ASCII host URLs remain unknown. Filters apply within each five-item batch, newest IDs first. Partial and empty results do not prove a page has no embeds. Inspect actual rendered behavior on staging before changing a provider or privacy settings.

From download to your first embed review

  1. Download your plugin ZIP through Freemius.
  2. In WordPress, choose Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, then install and activate.
  3. Activate your Pro license.
  4. Open Tools > Embed Source Review. Review saved hosts, filter by exact host and continue through the five-item batches.
